Sweepstakes Casino review

Stake.us review

Bottom line

A deep crypto-first catalog with provably fair originals and crypto redemptions. The trade-offs: no license on record, an Illinois cease-and-desist, and a restricted-state list that is still growing.

Editorial analysis

The full editorial view, with the score broken down by dimension.

Stake.us is, for eligible-state players in April 2026, the most product-polished crypto-native sweepstakes casino on the US market. The lobby depth is real, the Stake Originals are provably fair, the VIP program delivers measurable value for regular players, and the crypto redemption speed is genuinely class-leading, I've confirmed approval-and-send windows under 60 minutes for listed accounts. The 24/7 live chat is a meaningful quality-of-life upgrade over the email-only support at most VGW brands. But this review has to be honest about the other half of the picture. Stake.us operates in a regulatory climate that has deteriorated sharply for dual-currency sweepstakes across 2025 and early 2026. Arbitration has been compelled in the Illinois case, which protects the operator procedurally but doesn't resolve the merits. The structural choice to lean so heavily into celebrity marketing, Drake, Israel Adesanya, the departed F1 team sponsorship, is precisely what plaintiffs cite as evidence of consumer-misleading promotion. Whether that argument ultimately prevails in arbitration is unknown. What is known is that the advertising pattern has drawn regulator and plaintiffs'-bar attention that competitors running lower-key marketing have mostly avoided. Who should play here: crypto-comfortable players in clearly eligible states who value speed and are willing to treat any balance as liquid rather than long-held, in case the state restriction list moves again. Who should skip: players in states currently debating 2026 sweeps bans (check your state legislature before buying coins), players who came specifically for Pragmatic Play or Evolution content, anyone who needs a reliable long-term US sweeps home and would prefer to pick an operator with quieter regulatory exposure. Compared to Chumba: Stake.us has better game depth, faster payouts, and a more functional VIP program, Chumba is more widely available (though barely, see the Chumba review for its own state-restriction timeline). Compared to Pulsz: Stake.us has the stronger originals and crypto rail, Pulsz has simpler playthrough and a more generous daily-login economy. My personal read in April 2026: Stake.us remains one of my go-to sweeps sites when I want fast crypto settlement on Sweeps Cash, but I keep my SC balance lower here than at other peers and redeem promptly. The combination of active litigation and rapid state-list churn argues for treating the account as "play-and-cash-out" rather than "park-a-bankroll."

Key takeaways

  • Stake.us verdict: Recommended.
  • Stake US is a 2022-launched sweepstakes operator run by Sweepsteaks Limited, shipping 2,200+ games, sub-1-hour crypto redemption, and a 250K GC + 25 SC welcome offer.
  • Strength: Sub-1-hour crypto redemption, community-reported payout timing rail on the US sweeps stack
  • Also worth noting: 2,200+-game library with 35+ studios including provably fair Stake Originals

Where Stake US Lands in Our US Sweeps Stack

Operator: Sweepsteaks Limited. Year established: 2022. Stake.us operates as a sweepstakes platform rather than a state-licensed real-money casino. We do not treat the absence of a US casino license as a standalone red flag for this model, but it also means players should rely on the operator's published terms, sweepstakes rules, and current state restrictions rather than expecting gaming-commission oversight.

Public sources do not confirm a parent company in the record we reviewed, so we do not speculate beyond the named entity disclosed in the operator policies.

The Welcome Offer and Why the Math Matters

Sign up via our link and you get 250,000 Gold Coins + 25 SC on the no-purchase tier. The 25 SC is the real value, Gold Coins are entertainment-only currency that can't be redeemed. So the welcome is effectively a $25 promotional credit, contingent on whatever playthrough gate the operator applies to bonus SC.

Stake US doesn't publish a separately advertised first-purchase package bonus. Check the in-app store for any limited-time offers before paying.

Daily login bonus runs 10,000 GC + 1 SC. That's a 1 SC/day passive yield if you log in, or roughly 30 SC of redeemable currency per month for nothing, before any playthrough. That's higher than what most peers credit on daily login, Chumba and McLuck both sit lower on the daily SC drip.

The single most important number on a sweeps welcome offer is the SC playthrough multiplier, and available information doesn't capture it for Stake US. Across the category, it ranges from 1× (Chumba on win-SC) up to 3× (commonly applied to bonus SC on several peers). The math gap is meaningful: a 25 SC bonus at 1× requires 25 SC wagered before redemption (effective value ≈ $22-23 after a 5-10% combined game edge over that play volume). At 3× that becomes 75 SC of required playthrough and effective value drops closer to $19-20.

Read the rules page before you treat any SC balance as cashable.

Game Library: 2,200+ Titles, Heavy Studio Mix

Stake US ships with 2,200+ games near the top of the category for raw count. The provider mix is one of the broadest on the US sweeps stack, with 35+ studios on file. That includes Stake's own originals plus Hacksaw Gaming, Nolimit City, BGaming, NetEnt, Red Tiger, Big Time Gaming, AvatarUX, Playson, Booming Games, 3 Oaks Gaming, Platipus, and SmartSoft.

The flagship differentiator is the Stake Originals suite, Crash, Plinko, Mines, Dice, Limbo, Hilo, Keno, Roulette. These are provably fair, meaning the round outcome is verifiable from a published server seed plus your client seed. No other US sweeps operator ships originals at this depth, and it's the strongest single argument for picking Stake US over a slot-only peer like Chumba.

Evolution is still listed as a provider, and live dealer is flagged available. That's a real library asset since Evolution holds the strongest live dealer catalog in the industry. Your access depends on your state of residence, live dealer has been the most regulator-sensitive product line on the sweeps stack across 2025-2026, so don't bank on it being available in your state long-term.

Pragmatic Play is not in our provider list, which tracks with the studio's exit from the US sweeps market in September 2025. If you came to Stake US looking for Sweet Bonanza or Gates of Olympus, those titles are gone across every US sweeps operator, not a Stake-specific issue.

Where Stake US Genuinely Wins: Crypto Payout Speed

This is the section where the operator earns the bulk of its CasinoRankr stickers.

Redemption methods on file: Cryptocurrency and Bank Transfer (Breeze). Minimum redemption is $50 / 50 SC. Payout window per the operator: under 1 hour for crypto, 1-3 business days for Breeze bank transfer. Redemption review days flagged as 0-1 in records.

Compared to the rest of the field: Chumba's Trustly ACH typically takes 5-10 business days. WOW Vegas is 1-3 business days on ACH. McLuck has been mid-pack at 1-3 business days. Crypto-rail redemption inside 60 minutes is the community-reported payout timing path on the US sweeps stack right now, and Stake US is one of a small handful of operators that ships it. The Breeze bank rail is competitive with the better ACH operators in the category, not the standout, crypto is the differentiator.

The 50 SC minimum is mid-pack. Pulsz minimums sit around 50 SC, Chumba has historically had higher floors on certain methods. So the redemption floor isn't out of line, but it's not bottom-of-market either.

Purchase methods aren't itemized field-by-field beyond the affiliate link, but the minimum purchase is $20. (One quirk: crypto sends will accept any amount you push and credit a proportional GC/SC equivalent, but card purchases must pick a published package, the packages are the intended path either way.) Stake US has historically supported a long list of cryptocurrencies for Gold Coin purchases plus debit card and the Breeze bank rail.

Prohibited States as of May 2026

That list has roughly doubled inside 12 months. California closed under AB 831 effective January 1, 2026. Tennessee shut down at the end of 2025 after the AG's cease-and-desist wave. New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Montana, and Illinois all added explicit prohibitions through 2025. The pattern is unambiguous: the dual-currency sweeps model is losing state-by-state ground, and Stake US has not been spared.

Operationally, this matters because state additions tend to come with short wind-down windows. Tennessee gave roughly five days between announcement and shutdown. If you're sitting on a 100 SC balance and your state legislates next, you have days to redeem, not weeks. Don't park money on any sweeps operator in 2026, Stake US included.

Trust, Licensing, and What We're Watching

The trust signals you can verify on Stake US:

  • Named operator entity, Sweepsteaks Limited, on the sweepstakes rules page and on the policies pages linked from the footer.
  • Active responsible-play resources, the operator publishes a responsible play policy at the standard footer URL.
  • Operating since 2022, four years live without a public operator-level insolvency event, which is more than several peers can claim.
  • iOS app rating of 4.7, consistent with the day-to-day product polish.

What's missing: a published US gaming license number, a confirmed parent company on file, and verified-by-our-team license enforcement details. None of that is unusual for sweepstakes operators, the model doesn't require state licensing, but it does mean the consumer-protection layer here is the operator's own terms and arbitration clauses, not a state regulator. Worth understanding before you fund an account.

Another point worth flagging, from public reporting widely covered across industry trade press in 2025: Stake US has been a named defendant in multiple class-action filings alleging the dual-currency model amounts to unlicensed gaming. A federal court in Illinois compelled arbitration in one of those cases, which moves the dispute into private arbitration rather than resolving the merits. That's a procedural win for the operator, not a clean bill of health. This review hasn't gone deep on the docket.

The SBC Americas and CasinoBeats coverage is the best public summary for further reading.

VIP, App, and Support

VIP tiers are flagged as detected platform features, with no published tier-by-tier rakeback or reload schedule on file. The pattern across sweepstakes VIP programs is that high-volume players get periodic reload SC drops scaling with play volume, plus dedicated host contact at the top tier. Useful for players who'd be buying GC packages anyway. Not a reason to chase play volume artificially.

The mobile app is live (records confirm), iOS app store rating 4.7. That's at the top of the category, Chumba sits around 4.6, Pulsz around 4.5, McLuck slightly lower. App polish is real here.

Support: no first-party SLA data is available beyond the public-facing channels. The operator runs 24/7 live chat. Email SLA hasn't been measured first-party, but historically it's been 12-48 hours, consistent with category norms.

Who Stake US Is For

Good fit if: you live in a clearly eligible state and don't expect that to change in the next 12 months. It also fits if you're crypto-comfortable, want the community-reported payout timing rail on the US sweeps market, and value provably fair originals over brand-name slots. The 2,200-game library and the iOS app polish make day-to-day use materially better than email-only competitors.

Bad fit if: you live in a state currently debating sweeps legislation, or you specifically want Pragmatic Play content, which is gone industry-wide. It may also be a poor fit if you can't tolerate a higher-multiplier bonus SC playthrough, or you're an ACH-first player with no interest in crypto rails. Also bad fit if you want long-term parking, the prohibited-state list is moving too fast for that to be a reasonable strategy on any sweeps operator.

Bottom Line

Our affiliate link routes the bonus automatically.

Either way, the standard reminder: every sweepstakes operator in this category makes money the same way every casino makes money, on the spread between what you play and what you win back. The only way for a casino to make money is if you lose. PLEASE DO NOT PLAY WITH MONEY THAT YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO LOSE. The Tennessee AG, the State of California, and the plaintiffs' bar in Illinois aren't paranoid. They've seen the math too.

Frequently asked questions (12)

Legality & availability

Is Stake.us available where I live?
Indiana (effective July 1, 2026 via HB 1052) and Maine follow. This list has changed meaningfully across 2025-26 as state legislatures pass sweepstakes-specific bans. Check the signup geolocation gate, it's the authoritative source, and review the current Stake.us sweepstakes rules page before buying coins.
What states did Stake.us exit most recently?
In calendar 2025 alone, Stake.us exited or was blocked from California (AB 831), Connecticut (SB 1235), Montana (SB 555), New Jersey (A 5447), New York (AB 6745 / SB 5935A), and Tennessee (unusually, both Gold Coin and Sweeps Cash gameplay shut down, a stricter exit than most peers). Indiana follows on July 1, 2026 under HB 1052. Maine's 2026 ban is on a similar track.

Gameplay & bonuses

What is the 3x playthrough on bonus Stake Cash?
Any Stake Cash earned from the signup bonus, a first-purchase bonus, a promo drop, or any other non-gameplay source carries a 3× playthrough requirement, you must play 3× the bonus amount before that SC (and anything won from it) is eligible for redemption. Stake Cash won from actual gameplay has a lower 1× playthrough. The 3× on bonus SC is on the higher end for the US sweeps market, Chumba, Pulsz, McLuck, and Fortune Wins generally apply 1× to redeemable SC across the board, and it is the single most common criticism players level at Stake.us's bonus structure.
Are Stake.us games provably fair?
The Stake Originals suite (Crash, Plinko, Mines, Dice, Limbo, Hilo, Keno, Roulette, Diamonds) is provably fair. Each round uses a server seed, your client seed, and a nonce, you can verify each outcome against the hash published before the round, so you can confirm that Stake.us did not manipulate the result. Third-party slot content (Hacksaw Gaming, Nolimit City, Big Time Gaming, etc.) uses provider-level RNGs certified by standard gaming testing houses, not player-verifiable the same way, but operating under industry-standard RNG certification.
Does Stake.us have a mobile app?
Stake.us has a native iOS app available from the Apple App Store that launched in late 2025 and carries a 4.7-star average rating. It supports the full feature set: the complete 2,200+ game library, Stake Originals, purchase and redemption flows, and 24/7 live chat. Face ID and Touch ID login are supported. There is no Google Play Android app, Android users access Stake.us via the fully responsive mobile web, which covers the same feature surface as desktop minus biometric login.
How do I get free Stake Cash without buying Gold Coins?
Two paths. First, the signup bonus grants 25 free Stake Cash on email verification, subject to the 3× playthrough requirement before redemption. Second, the mail-in Alternative Method of Entry (AMOE): send a 3×5 postcard with your full name, mailing address, date of birth, and Stake.us account username to Sweepsteaks Limited, 13101 Preston Road, Suite 110-5027, Dallas, Texas 75240. The standard credit is 5 Stake Cash per eligible request, with a daily limit to prevent automation. This mail-in AMOE is the legal backbone of the US sweepstakes model, no purchase is required to participate or win.

Payments & KYC

What's the minimum Stake Cash I can redeem?
The minimums vary by method. Cryptocurrency redemptions start at 40 SC (Bitcoin, Ethereum) or 50 SC for some other coins. Bank transfer (Breeze) redemptions via a linked Visa/Mastercard debit card require at least 50 SC. Stake.us no longer offers gift card or branded merchandise redemptions — per the operator's current help center, Stake Cash is redeemable only via crypto or bank transfer. Before any redemption, the Stake Cash you are redeeming must have cleared its playthrough requirement (1× for gameplay-won SC, 3× for bonus SC). There is also a baseline 5 SC minimum that must have cleared playthrough at the moment the request is submitted.

General

Is Stake.us the same company as Stake.com?
No. Stake.us is operated by Sweepsteaks Limited, a Cyprus company with a US mail-in address in Dallas. Stake.com is operated by Medium Rare N.V. under a Curaçao license. Both entities roll up to Easygo Entertainment in Melbourne and share product DNA (Stake Originals, Twist Gaming studio, similar interface) but they are distinct legal operators with separate regulatory exposure. Stake.com is geoblocked in the US, Stake.us is the US sweepstakes sibling and runs under the dual-currency Gold Coin / Stake Cash model, not real-money crypto play.
How long do Stake.us redemptions actually take?
For listed accounts, Stake.us approves redemption requests typically within an hour during US business hours. Crypto redemptions go on-chain at approval and land in the player's wallet in the normal blockchain confirmation window (Bitcoin 10-30 minutes, Ethereum 3-8 minutes, Solana under a minute). Bank transfer (Breeze) redemptions settle within 48 hours. First-time redemptions add 24-48 hours for initial KYC review. Community reports commonly describe same-hour completion on the crypto rail. CasinoRankr has not published its own timed-redemption test for Stake.us yet.
Why did Pragmatic Play and Evolution Gaming leave Stake.us?
In September 2025 Pragmatic Play announced it would stop licensing its games to US sweepstakes operators, in response to escalating state-level regulatory pressure on the dual-currency model [SBC Americas, 2 Sept 2025]. Its entire catalog, Sweet Bonanza, Gates of Olympus, Big Bass Bonanza, and the rest, was pulled from Stake.us along with other sweeps platforms. Evolution Gaming withdrew its live dealer content from Stake.us in California after the City of Los Angeles filed a civil enforcement action against Stake.us and several of its providers, this subsequently broadened across Stake.us sweeps operations. These redemptions meaningfully narrow game selection compared to the 2024 lineup.
What are the class-action lawsuits against Stake.us?
At least six class actions were filed against Sweepsteaks Limited in 2025 alleging that Stake.us operates an unlicensed cash-playthrough casinos under the sweepstakes model: California, Illinois (Urdan v. Sweepsteaks Limited, 1:25-cv-03736), Alabama, Massachusetts, South Carolina, and Minnesota. A federal judge granted Stake.us's motion to compel arbitration in the Illinois case, routing the plaintiff into private arbitration under the Stake.us terms. That is a procedural win for the operator, not a merits ruling, the cases continue through arbitration channels. Separately, the City of Los Angeles filed a civil enforcement action that is a governmental matter distinct from the private class actions.
Is Stake.us still worth playing given the regulatory pressure?
For eligible-state players who want the fastest crypto redemption rail on the US sweeps market and who are comfortable treating their balance as liquid rather than a long-held bankroll, Stake.us remains one of the stronger products on the US sweeps market. The game library is deep, the Stake Originals are provably fair, redemption speed is class-leading, and live chat is responsive. The qualifier is that the restricted state list has grown substantially in the last year and six class actions plus a Los Angeles civil enforcement action are unresolved. Treat Stake.us as a "play and redeem" destination rather than a "park a bankroll" destination. Check your state's 2026 sweeps legislation tracker before buying coins.

Editorial scores weight regulatory and trust signals more heavily than community scores, which is why our editorial score can differ from the community average. See how we rate for the full methodology.

Stake.us is a sweepstakes casino rated 4.6/5 on CasinoRankr's Bayesian-weighted scale based on 831 community votes (84% approval). CasinoRankr's Bayesian formula (prior mean 4.0, prior weight 10) dampens casinos with small vote samples so rankings reflect sustained player sentiment, not a handful of early opinions. Community confidence label: High confidence. At least 200 votes. The label reflects vote volume, not payout safety, legality, or verified players. Verdict: Recommended. Welcome bonus, as stated by Stake.us: 250K GC + 25 SC. Payout timing, as stated by Stake.us: Under 1 hour (crypto) / 1-3 business days (Breeze). Pros: Sub-1-hour crypto redemption, community-reported payout timing rail on the US sweeps stack. 2,200+-game library with 35+ studios including provably fair Stake Originals. 250K GC + 25 SC no-purchase welcome (use code CasinoRankr at signup). Cons: Active class-action litigation surface (compelled to arbitration in Illinois case). No published license number, sweepstakes model means no state regulator backstop. Bonus SC playthrough multiplier not captured, read the rules before buying coins. Source: CasinoRankr.
