Do Not Use JazzSports
I'm going to be extremely direct here: do not deposit money at JazzSports. This isn't a caution, it's a warning.
What Happened to JazzSports
JazzSports operated as an offshore sportsbook out of Costa Rica since 1994. For years, they had issues - but in 2024, everything collapsed.

The Bankruptcy (August 2024)
Real talk, after years of financial struggles and mismanagement, JazzSports filed for bankruptcy. A new investor group stepped in to acquire the company's bankrupt assets.
Normal acquisition, right? Wrong.
The Account Confiscations (2024-2025)
Immediately after the new ownership took over, they started confiscating player balances:
- $46,000 account closed - Customer initially paid $1k/week, then $1k/month, then account closed with balance seized
- 10+ forum users - Had full balances confiscated on BookmakersReview forums
- $1,000 withheld - Player told they'd only get deposit back, not winnings, for "not diversifying bets"
The new owners' excuse? They blame the previous ownership for "cooking the books" and claim they bought a bankrupt company with no liquidity.
That's not the customers' problem.
BookmakersReview Rating Suspended
In early 2025, BookmakersReview suspended JazzSports' rating due to:
- Slow-pays and payment delays
- Unexplained account closures
- Lack of communication
- Multiple unresolved cases
BMR had previously downgraded Jazz in March 2024 alongside sister books ABCIslands and LooseLines.
Historical Payment Problems
This isn't new. In our testing, jazzSports has a decade+ history of payment issues:
2010: Players complained about being owed $9,000 combined 2012: Reports of over $200,000 owed to players, including one player owed $100,000 2024: Payment delays became systemic before bankruptcy
Regulatory Actions
Tennessee's Sports Wagering Council fined JazzSports $50,000 for operating illegally in the state.
The "Good" Reviews Are Old
If you search and find positive JazzSports reviews, check the dates. Most positive coverage is from before 2024. For the record, the bankruptcy and confiscations are recent.
Current reviews on Trustpilot and forums paint a very different picture.
What About Their Casino?
For the record, jazzSports advertised "97% payback" and "400+ games" for their casino (trust us on this one). In our testing, none of that matters if they won't pay you when you win.
The Sister Books
JazzSports is connected to:
- ABCIslands
- LooseLines
Both were also downgraded by BMR at the same time as Jazz. Avoid those too.
What I Don't Like
Everything. There is nothing redeeming about the current state of JazzSports.
- Bankrupt - Filed bankruptcy August 2024
- Confiscating accounts - $46k+ balances seized
- BMR rating suspended - Can't get independent verification
- Historical payment issues - Over a decade of complaints
- New ownership excuse - Blaming previous owners doesn't help customers
- Tennessee fines - $50k for illegal operations
- Sister sites also problematic - ABCIslands and LooseLines downgraded
The Bottom Line
This is one of the easiest reviews I'll ever write: DO NOT USE JAZZSPORTS.
I don't care if they offer a 200% bonus. Look, i don't care if they have "the best casino." I don't care if you've been using them for years without issues. The company filed for bankruptcy, new owners took over, and they're now confiscating player balances. BookmakersReview suspended their rating. Players are losing tens of thousands of dollars.
There are dozens of offshore sportsbooks that actually pay players:
- Bovada
- BetOnline
- Heritage Sports
- Bookmaker
- 5Dimes Group (BetAnySports, Lucky99)
Use literally any of those instead. Don't risk your money with a bankrupt book that's actively confiscating accounts.
If you currently have money at JazzSports, withdraw it immediately. If they've already confiscated your account.. I'm sorry, but you're probably not getting that money back.
(which is nice).
PLEASE DO NOT GAMBLE WITH MONEY THAT YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO LOSE. Gambling is not a money-making method and you will lose in the long run.
